At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot spring bath. I have stayed in many austere locations, but this is probably the most simplest place I have paid to stay in. It is beautiful. It is so simple, but also was $12 U.S. for 1 night. If it wasn’t for the mosquitos, I wish I could have stayed for a few more days and just decompressed. The dinner had no options. It came and you either ate it or you didn’t (I’m sure they had a vegetarian option). I liked it though. I’m sorry that I don’t remember the gentleman’s name that helped out during the stay, but he was awesome. Thank you for making this adventure great!

The view is stunning whereever you look, you have to be there to feel the greatness of that place. A room with the most amazing view. Apo the dog sleeping on my door step & following me. So cute! Im glad I stayed for a few days, thats how you can appreciate every little thing. It should not be rushed, go with the pace.

Rodríguez Ballón International Airport is 223 km away. After trekking 11h we were looking forward to jump into the pool and eat. Pool was really nice: don't understand the other reviews. Dinner was vegetarian and was around 20 soles. Breakfast at 5am with loooots of carbs Room was OK, hot water, clean, towels, good wifi.

Cabanaconde can be reached in 3 hours, by foot, horse or mule only. Such a beautiful place to stay in the heart of the canyon! The lovely gardens were also a perk, and of course the pool after a long day of walking. The rooms were cosy and the food was great. We loved our time here - thank you.

This family-run lodge is known as the first and only property in the area featuring five fully natural hot spring pools, which emerge directly from the mountain and reach temperatures of up to 40 °C. The pools are set along the riverside and are strictly for the exclusive use of registered guests. The lodge is well-regarded for offering an authentic and natural experience in a truly unique setting. The team welcomed us very warmly. We told them that our hiking shoes broke completely beyond repair during the hike to Llahuar and the owner was very committed in helping us - he made it possible that our larger backpack that we stored in Cabanaconde was brought to the lodge so we can retrieve other shoes for the resting hiking days. Beautiful place, good food, welcoming vibe!
