The hotel has a mountain hut vibe, great atmosphere, made of wood, furnished accordingly. We liked it a lot. Great value for the price. It is a family run business, and they are very great hosts. Polite, helping, bringing us some homemade liquor to try out, speaking good English, etc. You can order for a very reasonable price dinner and breakfast as well, which is prepared by the family. Homemade taste, local ingredients, big portions. Wonderful. You have a big plate with all the goods for breakfast and a typical Romanian dish plus a dessert for dinner. The beds were comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean. The terrace has possibilities to just chill and relax. There was even a local dog and animals around adding to the vibe. A fireplace outside, also a small playground for the children. Set in nature, close for hikes in Retezat. For sure, I would love to come back. Thanks for everything.

The place is very clean, there is a shared kitchen very well equipped and a shared living room with the coolest fireplace ever. The location has a cool industrial look. We spent 2 nights so during the day we hiked the nearby peaks and during the night we gawked our eyes at the night sky for meteors because of the Perseids. Because of the short stay we couldn't take advantage of all the activities that are possible (ATV's, hot tub, paragliding) but we plan to on our next stay.
