This accommodation is just wonderful. I could not be more satisfied. The hotel has a mountain hut vibe, great atmosphere, made of wood, furnished accordingly. We liked it a lot. Great value for the price. It is a family run business, and they are very great hosts. Polite, helping, bringing us some homemade liquor to try out, speaking good English, etc. You can order for a very reasonable price dinner and breakfast as well, which is prepared by the family. Homemade taste, local ingredients, big portions. Wonderful. You have a big plate with all the goods for breakfast and a typical Romanian dish plus a dessert for dinner. The beds were comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean. The terrace has possibilities to just chill and relax. There was even a local dog and animals around adding to the vibe. A fireplace outside, also a small playground for the children. Set in nature, close for hikes in Retezat. For sure, I would love to come back. Thanks for everything.

We enjoyed staying at this nice cottage in a quiet tiny village. The cottage and the whole property has a superb view of the Carpathian mountains and is near a nice little stream. The property is close to the beautiful Retezat national park and valley of the city of Hateg.

Sam, the owner, will turn the world upside down to make your stay feel as comfortable as possible. The place is very clean, there is a shared kitchen very well equipped and a shared living room with the coolest fireplace ever. The location has a cool industrial look. We spent 2 nights so during the day we hiked the nearby peaks and during the night we gawked our eyes at the night sky for meteors because of the Perseids. Because of the short stay we couldn't take advantage of all the activities that are possible (ATV's, hot tub, paragliding) but we plan to on our next stay. Thank you Sam for making us feel like old friends.

Very nice combination between maintaining the traditional features of the old house and adding on top all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The owners, Oana and Vlad are welcoming people, doing everything with passion and dedication. I enjoyed spending time with them and exploring the property and the village. Great find and would love to come back doar a longer stay.

The host is really welcoming and a nice person to talk with.The house is really clean and cozy and the bed is really comfortable. The place is quiet, the air is fresh and the view is stunning. Our visit there is one if our most calm and relaxing experiences we ever had.
