The cottage is in a beautiful and quiet mountain area, close to the Bâlea Waterfall (Cascada Bâlea) (15 min by car) where the cable car starts, which takes you up to the Bâlea Lake. Very nice room, superb shower and bathroom, has a shared kitchen. It also has a porch with chairs to sit and relax and a grill area, which we did not use as it was winter. The host is very kind and helpful, they live in the house next to the cottage. It was a perfect stay.

It's a comfortable and clean accommodation next to the forest. It's really close to the top (about 30-40 minutes). There was a well equipped kitchen, in the morning we had fresh coffee and milk waiting for us. It was a wooden house so I was afraid there would be spiders and bugs, but nothing. Every location was perfectly clean. I would recommend it.

Set in Cumpăna, on the shore of Vidraru lake, Cabana Cumpana boasts views of the mountains. Free WiFi is provided. The accommodation is fitted with a TV. Bed linen is available. If you want a design and renovated hotel this is not the place for you. I loved the retro and authentic 80s atmosphere, it is located in a unique place with great nature, on the lake, spotlessly clean, with kind staff, nice restaurant and absolute quiet. Be careful what car you go with because it has a 7km dirt rough road.
