The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

This hotel is in Abisko, just 2 minutes’ walk from Abisko Östra Train Station. Abisko Mountain Lodge’s in-house restaurant Brasserie Fjällköket has a seasonal menu based on locally sourced... Staff were accountable and responsible. especially the receptionist girl who helped us when our train was cancelled and immediately offered a practical solution. Also, the location is great, and breakfast is really good. Thanks for every things.

Reindeer Lodge se află la aproximativ 23 km de Gara din Kiruna și la 20 km de Kiruna Bus Station și are o saună și parcare privată gratuită. It has great staff and a beautiful location. We also got free breakfast, dinner and tickets to a museum about the Sami People which was fascinating.

Camp Caroli Wooden Cabins se găsește în Jukkasjärvi, la 23 km de Gara din Kiruna și la 21 km de Kiruna Bus Station, și oferă cazare cu WiFi gratuit și o grădină cu o terasă și vedere la grădină. I liked absolutely everything. Great experience of escaping from the city and being among nature. Stefan is a great host! We also took a snowmobile tour and enjoyed winter activities. Also, from the house along the lake you can walk in an hour to the ice hotel, and along the way you can enjoy the snow, mountains, forest and beautiful views. I hope that we will return to Camp Caroli once again to see the northern lights again and live this experience away from the city alone with nature.

Surrounded by forest, Aurora Camp Kurravaara is right by the Torne River, 13 km from Kiruna Airport. Facilities include a sauna and a furnished terrace. Our lake view cottage was exactly as in the pictures. Aurora Camp is in a beautiful location in the wilderness and a great spot to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately when we stayed it was cloudy. Staff were very welcoming. Aurora camp offers the opportunity to experience sleeping in an igloo. There is no running water and the toilet / showers are communal (clean) in the main area about 200m from the main part of the camp. I used the sauna for my shower and had a snow bath - very refreshing. The drive down the road can be a little scary, so just take it easy.
