The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

This hotel is in Abisko, just 2 minutes’ walk from Abisko Östra Train Station. Abisko Mountain Lodge’s in-house restaurant Brasserie Fjällköket has a seasonal menu based on locally sourced... nice location which just at the entrance of national park. extremely high chances to see aurora. quality & excellent breakfast and dinner. All the staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Quiet and cosy stay in the lapland.  It's equipped with a great wood sauna.  Breakfast was nice at their teepee style lodge.  We also had free access to the nearby Sami museum in Jukkasjärvi, which was very interesting and informative.

It was close to a frozen lake so when the aurora hits, it was exceptional. The place fits for the 4 of us, with a complete set of kitchen utensils for cooking.

Surrounded by forest, Aurora Camp Kurravaara is right by the Torne River, 13 km from Kiruna Airport. Facilities include a sauna and a furnished terrace. We had a great time at the Aurora Camp. The hut had everything we needed and the private sauna with the instruction video was great. It would have been nice to provide more small firewood to start the fire but we collected it around the camp. The sauna heats up really fast and it's great fun to jump into the cold lake after using it. As expected there were many mosquitoes but the hut has a screen door which was very helpful.
