Being in the middle of nature was a huge plus. We regularly saw the jiraffes and we were lucky enough to see a cheetah hunting an antílope on our way to breakfast (from our car, stay inside! ;) ). It was an amazing experience. The personal was also very helpful and kind and made our stay and way there and back safer and more enjoyable.

The lodge is equipped with a double bed, a working desk, a wardrobe, a kitchen and a bathroom. We especially liked the incredible view from the terrace. Ingrid was an amazing host, she was very caring and helpful. She booked great tours in the reserves around the area for us.

Port Elizabeth is 35 km from Charihandra Game Lodge, whereas Addo is 19.4 km away. The staff was wonderful. From the check-in experience to the restaurant, everyone was really helpful. The food (breakfast and dinner) was great. We loved the game drive on the property.

The Silver Thorns Restaurant at the main lodge serves contemporary and culinary cuisine. Room service and special diet menus can be requested. Drinks and snacks can be enjoyed at the bar. We stayed at Lodge for 3 nights at the end of November, chosing the "All Inclusive" package. It was the best adventure and the best place we stayed during our trip through South Africa. Leo, our tour guide, has showed, explained and I jetted into us the wholesome approach to safari. You could feel like a carefree child that went on adventure to discover. We wish every tour guide could show to its guests such an excepcional respect towards the animals. Leo transforms such kindness, that at the end of the day you feel extremely rewarded by seeing every little living on safari, inuding birds, elephants, monkeys - all living wild and free. In the breaks, we could learn so much by having just a casual conversation with him. We really felt like being invited to magnificent kingdom of the animals, without feeling like some random intruders. A beating heart of this place is Debbie: what an outstanding manger. You "don't see her, don't hear her", but she is there and she keeps and eye on everything, ensuring such a comfortable stay for the guests. Debbie just transmits calmness, kindness, warmth, and professionalism. It was a real pleasure know her. The amazing Crew of the Lodge gives you a total family vibe. They winked an eye at us every time they left us a nice surprise in the form of flower petals or chocolates. Everything from warm towels to wipe our hands, through tasty meals (delicious soups!), was full of kindness and joy of hosting us. From warm welcome to a family-like farewell (followed by messages to check our further progress on the road) - everything was such a beautiful sign of being human that I came back completely refreshed. The lodge offers game drives through Addo National Park, game walks on the property and guided sundowner walks. The view from the mountains is amazing. There is a nice pool and relaxing area. We had a dinner also with this view. The rooms are pretty, all made us to feel good!! We had a small Kia Picanto rental car, very small one. Luckily it was not rainy season, so it was no problem to go up with this car, we had to drive slow and carefully and all was fine!!! The hotel is not far from Addo National Park, so before heading there we made a 2 hour driving from the northern entrance of the park and we saw many elephants and other animals.

Chrislin African Lodge is a peaceful site with outdoor lounge areas, gardens, and a citrus farm. Guests can enjoy South African recipes in onsite dining lapa.

Valley Bushveld Country Lodge serves authentic South African cuisine. During cold winter evenings, guests can enjoy a drink in the lounge with a huge fireplace. One of the best places we have stayed in, in Africa so far. Family run lodge, comfortable good sized rooms. Giraffe walk with the owner was amazing. Info to Addo Park helpful and easy doable for day trip. Food very good. Our stay was fantastic.
