The pet-friendly lodge offers a barbecue. We really enjoyed our time at Tugela River Lodge. There’s so many things to do within the property like kayak, mountain bike, trails, and little farm area. It’s very clean and the staff and owner are super friendly and always willing to assist. The farm stall has a lot of supplies, so if you forget anything you wouldn’t even need to drive out. Very pet friendly as well - everything we could do with our little mini dachshund. She loved her time there and the fenced off area is big and safe. The wood-fired tub is an amazing way to wind down. The view is amazing and Bheki always comes to help fire it up ahead of time. All in all a fantastic experience as a couple, and I’m sure it’d be lovely for a family and friends group too!

Montusi Mountain Lodge offers a bar and is located 44 km from Bergville. Guests receive free Wi-Fi access, a children's playground and a swimming pool. There are bicycles available for guests to rent, and guests can relax in the garden. The view from Montusi is unlike no other. It has a very charming vibe and the staff and the owner are very nice. We did a helicopter ride over drakensberg which I highly recommend. They organised as well a full moon walk with a camp fire and amarulla (south african liqueur). The bed is comfortable, the rooms are clean, the food is good.

Located around a privately owned lake with views of the Drakensberg mountain range, Sani Valley Nature Lodges offers secluded chalet accommodation in a tranquil setting with game viewing opportunities. We stayed 3 nights at the bushman lodge with our two daughters, age 2 and 4. In the five weeks we’ve travelled the country, this accommodation was high in our top 3. It’s remote, but it’s spacious rooms and balcony with jacuzzi, the tranquillity of nature, the views, delicious food, etc, the whole family loved it. Gowrie Farm Golf Lodge serves a breakfast buffet and a few restaurants serving a variety of local and international cuisines can be found within 7 km. Packed lunches are available upon request. Location was great, staff were friendly and helpful, our check in and out was a pleasure, our room was clean and very comfortable, the outlook was fantastic and our breakfast was exceptional as was the service. The overall decor was lovely too! We certainly hope to return again.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Such a lovely gem on a beautiful farm. The owners are such good people. We had car trouble on the way there and Jenny didn't hesitate to offer us assistance in driving us 40mins to the nearest car hire company. They really did go above and beyond to make us comfortable, even through such a stressful event. The farm and units are clean, comfortable and very well equipped. I would definitely go back anytime.

A barbecue is available for guests to use at the lodge. The hosts were warm and welcoming The surroundings was beautiful and peaceful. Perfect for a silence retreat

Located just 8.2 km from Monks Cowl Country Club, Ondini Guest House features accommodation in Winterton with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as cycling and tennis. Excellent Host and accommodation in a beautiful area. The location is perfect, a little off for a very peaceful atmosphere. The house is huge and offers everything necessary for a great stay.
