We had a wonderful stay at Langa Langa and we would love to come back again! First, the location is perfect. It is very close to Paul Kruger Gate and also near Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. So you can visit both parks (Sabi Sands for an extra price), but you don’t pay the expensive prices of staying inside the parks. For us, this was a big advantage. One safari per night in Kruger Park was included, you can choose morning or afternoon. We always asked for the same guide, Floyd, as he knew what we were looking for and did everything to help us find the animals we wanted. On the first day, we almost saw all of the Big Five. Only the leopard was missing, and they're known to be a bit shy. The goal of day 2 was to spot a Leopard, and at the end of the day, we did! Thanks to Floyd. And most importantly, the staff at Langa Langa were all so friendly. The food was really delicious, and everything was very clean and comfortable. The tent had air conditioning (which is necessary with these temperatures), the pool was very nice, and it was amazing that Silence and the other staff members knew exactly which drinks we wanted and when to bring them. All guests were treated like kings and queens. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Langa Langa to anyone who wants the real safari experience combined with the right amount of luxury, all for a very fair price. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a few unforgettable days in nature. Also, they’re currently building new tents and a larger pool, so I believe future guests will have an even better experience than we did.

Shayna, Emma and Angela were great hosts and guides, the staff was awesome and the Chef is GREAT! Safe and delicious place for vegans! The game drives were very nice and fun, the girls know their bush! We got to see the big five in only 2 days. The cabin was nice and cozy, even though it gets pretty hot during the day (at night it becomes bearable with the fan on). Good hot shower! The elephants in the pool are breathtaking and the highlight of this amazing place.

Part of the Greater Kruger area, Kapama River Lodge is situated in the expansive 15,000-hectare Kapama Private Game Reserve. Incredible food. Very luxurious stay and service from all staff members was next level.

Africa on Foot is located in Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. The rustic-style camp features thatched chalet accommodation, a bar and a viewing deck with splash pool and sun loungers. Food was delicious, staff were warm friendly and informative

Offering an outdoor pool and a veranda with views of the Northern Drakensbergs, Mbizi Bush Lodge is a small lodge nestled in the Grietjie Game Reserve. Great property and amazing views! The property had all the necessary amenities required and the staff were amazing and extremely helpful.

Situated in the Balule Nature Reserve, Muweti Bush Lodge offers the opportunity for wildlife encounters at its waterhole, where elephants and other game come to drink. My fiancée and I had 3 spectacular days at Muweti Lodge! Mike, Laura, Neil and staff are extraordinary people! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, we felt as if we were at home or visiting our parents' house because the reception and care they showed us were exceptional! They truly care about each guest's well-being and how everyone is feeling. We have dietary restrictions. Every meal was served considering our restrictions. Regarding the lodge, the experience of being immersed in the savanna is indescribable! The room is very comfortable and spacious, with a comfy bed, a very nice bathroom, and a balcony with an amazing view. You can see some many animals from within the property! They provide game drives twice a day, and it was incredible. We saw many animals! On the game drives their focus is always on providing the best experience for the guests! The meals were very good and diverse! Every night a campfire was lit and all people at place had a good moments! We hope to return to Muweti soon! We are already recommending the place to everyone who asks us about our experiences in South Africa!

Naledi Lodges lies within the Balule Game Reserve and is located 25 km from Hoedspruit. It boasts panoramic views of the African savannah and features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and bar. Perfect from start to finish.

Pondoro is set on the banks of the Olifants River inside the 50 000 ha Balule Private Game Reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park (Game drive traverse 30 000 acres). We did A LOT of research on where to stay for our visit to Kruger and it can get quite overwhelming with so many options. What I will say is just book Pondoro, it was EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish. It is no exaggeration to say I actually cried a bit when I left it had been THAT special. The food and drink is incredible quality from breakfast through to dinner and all of the staff (from the management through to the cleaners) were welcoming, warm and went above and beyond on everything. We stayed 3 nights (which was the perfect amount of time) and they add in some surprises which I won’t spoil on here. There is an option to do a "romantic picnic" lunch in the hide overlooking the waterhole. This was the most incredible experience- not least because my partner proposed! The game drives are the reason you go to Kruger and these could not have been better at Pondoro. You get two drives a day of ~3 hours which FLY by. The drivers and spotters are incredibly talented, experienced and hugely respectful of the wildlife. We saw all of the big five and some hugely exciting encounters- thank you Anton and Sam (the leopard whisperer)!. I would advise looking at their brilliant instagram to see a snapshot for yourself. What really stands this place apart from other safaris is the privacy- as it's on an open (unfenced), but private, reserve there were at most 2 other cars with us when seeing an animal, but often on a drive we would not see another car. The room was fantastic with a lovely bath inside and a stone bath outside that overlooked the river. Having a jacuzzi with a glass of bubbles while watching elephants and hippos in the river was quite the experience! The bed was huge and very comfortable surrounded by a mosquito net meaning I didn’t get bitten once while there.

Motswari is a luxury family-owned lodge situated within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. The staff was amazing! Made you feel like family! Place was beautiful! Every detail was thought out! Amazing experience!
