This place is simply amazing. The tents are super nice and clean provided with mosquito nets and air conditioning. Private bathroom as part of the tent. The staff is very friendly and you can easily connect with other people during game drive or at the camp fire. Game drives were fantastic! We have seen all the big 5 and our guides Karabo and Floyd are very knowledgeable. We also really enjoyed the food. The star is the braai (bbq) which offers options for meat lovers and vegetarians. I was surprised how good the oxtail was. The starter soups are also amazing. Vegetarian options were also available on request. Potential allergies were requested beforehand. For breakfast my favourite was the omelette, but other options are provided as well. Besides all of this you can enjoy the pool surrounded by birds between your game drives and in the night time, the sounds of the bush (yes we heard hyenas while falling asleep, but no need to worry, all is safe as a fence separates you from the wild animals!). Don’t forget to loop up at night and enjoy the clear night sky full of stars from the entrance of your tent. Brendan has been super useful to assist us with the tour booking to Sabi Sand

The staff, accommodation, food and game drives were all excellent!!! We were comfortable, well looked after, and highly recommend Isambane for the price point.

Part of the Greater Kruger area, Kapama River Lodge is situated in the expansive 15,000-hectare Kapama Private Game Reserve. From the moment I set my foot in Hoedspruit airport, I was well taken care of with the pickup until my drop off back to the airport. Everything was amazing.

A special experience was staying at the Lion Tree Top Lodge in the Greater Kruger Park. At night you hear the lions roar, the hyenas call and the monkeys jump on the roof and terrace of your lodge. In the morning while you are under the outdoor shower you see the impalas and springboks pass by. During the day with a nice glass of wine by the pool you see the zebras drinking from the pond nearby. And close to the resort you can see the giraffes walk. A very special experience to see all those animals pass by your lodge. In the evening we had a very nice meal around the cozy campfire in the boma together with the super sweet hosts Brian and Lynn. The lodges are beautiful and equipped with all the necessities, separated from each other by wooden paths that provide the necessary privacy. So the resort seemed all to yourself. No mass tourism here like with the accommodations in the Kruger Park. In short, a real African bush experience in this small-scale, cozy resort, which was a highlight of our road trip through South Africa, thanks in part to Brian and Lynn.

Africa on Foot is located in Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. The rustic-style camp features thatched chalet accommodation, a bar and a viewing deck with splash pool and sun loungers. Absolutely everything about Africa on Foot is amazing. Staff are attentive, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. They truly make the the place what it is. Outstanding hospitality (best we have had). Facilities are clean and tastefully decorated. Food.. Just Wowwww! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were always a treat. The pools were beautifully located and clean. The rooms were spacious. The morning walks were such a treat. The guides are first class and work hard to show you as much as possible, whilst also giving you interesting information about then bush and its animals. The arvo/night drives were out of this world. We saw soooo much. Lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, hippos, giraffes, hyenas, antelopes, birds!! And much much more. This place is a must. Don't hesitate to book. We wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights.

Offering an outdoor pool and a veranda with views of the Northern Drakensbergs, Mbizi Bush Lodge is a small lodge nestled in the Grietjie Game Reserve. Incredible stay at Mbizi, I truly recommend this place for all nature lover, you will have the bests days in your life. First, the spot is incredible, a peaceful view on the bush, with many animals that you can spot by yourself on the pool or terrasse. Seing the elephants fews meters away from you is really an incredible experience. Then the game drive in the Balule reserve is really beautiful with a lot of differents landscapes that you can admire, Bjorn , the owner of Mbizi will share is knowledge and experience with you, while spotting beautiful cats or others majestic creatures on game drive. Thanks a lot for this knowledge sharing have been able learn a lot! You can also go on a full day safari in Kruger, wich is interesting because the landscape and animals are changing from balule area. Then after a beautiful drive game, you will be able to enjoy a truly delicious food, made by his wife Divya. Each days is a different surprised with many different specialities to enjoy a very nice moment in a beautiful environment. The food is truly the same than in a first choice restaurant. Trust me I'm french 😉 My final world will be a big thanks to this beautiful lodge and teams for this amazing experience! Don't hesitate, this is the right place to enjoy the true African bush game drive experience!

Situated in the Balule Nature Reserve, Muweti Bush Lodge offers the opportunity for wildlife encounters at its waterhole, where elephants and other game come to drink. The experience offered by Muweti Bush Lodge is the best you could ever wish for. The place is enchanting, and having the opportunity to sleep while witnessing the spectacle of nature, with animals coming to the waterholes to quench their thirst, is incredible and moving.However, the real gem is the staff! A fantastic family that will pamper you from the first to the last moment, answering all your curiosities with expertise. The meals are expertly prepared, and Mike's barbecue around the fire is truly relaxing. The game drives are spectacular, with an intense and meticulous search, and they will do everything they can to show you the Big Five.Anyone wanting to have such an experience must come here.

Naledi Lodges lies within the Balule Game Reserve and is located 25 km from Hoedspruit. It boasts panoramic views of the African savannah and features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and bar. Exceeded all expectations. The staff were incredibly warm, generous and on top of everything. They made us feel extra special and we enjoyed their company. Oupa as our guide delivered every single drive. We saw the Big 5 and then some! The meals from Chef Dudu and Chef Sam were spectacular and Marice and Lillian were the best hosts. Room was spacious and beautiful and the beds very comfortable. Every need was met and I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Pondoro is set on the banks of the Olifants River inside the 50 000 ha Balule Private Game Reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park (Game drive traverse 30 000 acres). Beautiful setting, overlooking the Olifants River, very peaceful. Excellent game drives, good meals, and incredibly friendly, cheerful staff. Of the 3 lodges we stayed at in Greater Kruger, this was our favorite. A small-scale operation, efficiently run. Wonderful overall feeling.

Motswari is a luxury family-owned lodge situated within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. The staff was amazing! Made you feel like family! Place was beautiful! Every detail was thought out! Amazing experience!
