Surrounded by vineyards and offering a view of the Swartberg Mountains, De Kombuys is situated on a wine farm 3 km from the Cango Caves and 23 km from the town of Oudtshoorn. One of the unexpected highlights of our South African roadtrip! Truly wonderful location, best food (wine!!) and extremely welcoming and thoughtful staff. Thank you so much.

The facilities were beautiful, the views were spectacular and the beds were the best I slept in my entire time in south Africa. We will be back when we visit south Africa again. Thank you

Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range. This is a beautiful place, nicely remote from the real world! The food was excellent - great quality, taste and value. Excellent service from all we encountered. We’d recommend visitors go on the nature drive… so much to learn about the beautiful Karoo. Great to be escorted by such an enthusiastic guide! Another highlight was the pool - in such beautiful surrounds, and made even more magical by the evening visit of the zebra and various bucks to graze. We’d love to return!

The rooms were beautiful and spacious with aircon. Lush gardens and a very nice pool area. Centrally located. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is an authentic and contrasting natural space, conveniently located along Route 62, a mere 3.5 hours from Cape Town in the arid Little Karoo. We where in the Dwyka „Tents“ —- while tent is a most probably the wrong name here. Our tented room was absolutely wonderful. We had enough space in all aspects of our stay. We literally skipped the morning game drive on our last day to enjoy the room a bit longer The reserve itself is huge and we had very interesting game drives with a very experienced guide. An absolute must go when in South Africa

From the moment we arrived, Richard went above and beyond to make our visit truly special. He was incredibly communicative leading up to our stay and took extra care to arrange thoughtful gifts for a special birthday celebration, which was such a delightful surprise. The lodge itself was charming, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Every detail of our stay exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear that Richard genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. We couldn’t recommend Duckpond Lodge more and will definitely be returning!
