Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. After we booked the stay, we had a very good contact with the owners and when we met them on arrival, it was great fun to finaly meet them and also that the place was so very nice - actullay much better than we hoped for. They have a lot of things in the rooms and you could get the feeling that it's to much, but for us - we liked it ! The room was very nice, comfy beds and the bathroom seemed to by quite newly renovated. A very good breakfast in the morning as well. We was just in for one ( 1 ) night, but could easily stayed longer. After we left, we got an mail with a lemut saying: We miss you already !! Lovely !

Not only was the food (even catered for vegan) fantastic, but the ability to hike and mountain bike around this huge reserve gave us real freedom to experience the land and wildlife. Surrounded by vineyards and offering a view of the Swartberg Mountains, De Kombuys is situated on a wine farm 3 km from the Cango Caves and 23 km from the town of Oudtshoorn. Wow, what a place! So beautiful, so quiet, fantastic food. Our room was more than expected.

Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range. The location was perfect and lovely accommodation. Excellent service and a wonderful spa treatment. Highly recommend! Excellent value for money. Good food and choice of wines.

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is an authentic and contrasting natural space, conveniently located along Route 62, a mere 3.5 hours from Cape Town in the arid Little Karoo. Rooms, spa and food were exceptional. Staff was extremely friendly. The safari drives were amazing and the safari guide was extremely knowledgeable. We could not recommend this place enough!

From the moment we arrived, Richard went above and beyond to make our visit truly special. He was incredibly communicative leading up to our stay and took extra care to arrange thoughtful gifts for a special birthday celebration, which was such a delightful surprise. The lodge itself was charming, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Every detail of our stay exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear that Richard genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. We couldn’t recommend Duckpond Lodge more and will definitely be returning!
