Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine. Peace and quiet, beautiful location. Nice wooden cottages with good beds and bathroom. Very helpful and kind owners. Great breakfast. In the winter they supply wood for the dure place and electric blankets which are very comfortable, as it can be cold during the evenings and nights. We would definitely book again!

The estate is beautiful and has zebras, giraffes, kudu and more. George and Zelda are amazing hosts. The lodge is very nice. The rooms are spacious, modern and airconditioned. Without a doubt the best location we stayed at in our 3 weeks in South Africa. We booked a full day Gamedrive in Kruger with Khululeka and we were fortunate to see the big 5 in one day! It's truly a magical and special place.

Excellent staff - they advised us what routes we can take for the self-drive which helped us a lot. We also had an amazing game drive with Louis. We had booked the safari package and that included one evening game drive in Manyeleti reserve. Perfect location - The stay is just outside Kruger Orpen gate, was very easy to take a self-drive to Kruger in the morning

The location in the middle of the bush. We had the villa which was very clean. The staff were great. The food was amazing, I requested vegetarian which was really good. The waterhole were animals come to drink. We saw all the Big 5 (we did 6 game drives). It felt like a home away from home. Will recommend it to everyone.

This was our favourite from all our accomodations we've stayed in South Africa and here's why: - Jenny & Ruan are amazing hosts that go above & beyond to make your stay memorable - Beautiful interior design of the lodge with a unique touch. They've done everything by themselves and I would immediately hire them as my interior architects :-) - Wonderful garden with great views of the Drakensberg mountains. Bushbabies might even stop by for a visit in the evening! - Possibility to do Safaris right around the corner (Ruan is also a trained guide) - Place to go for wine lovers, Ruan is also a professional in the wine field! - Breakfast is freshly prepared and delicious! We loved the fresh fruits and Musli as well as the delicious Omelettes. Also they prepared dinner just for the two of us and it was a very nice and romantic dinner!

We felt very special in this beautiful place. The service was outstanding. The pool area was the perfect place after an exhausting safari. Also the view platform is very nice and if you are lucky you can see some animals as well. Plus point: There are three very friendly ostriches in the place. Thanks a lot for a very special time for us. Highly recommended! Dinner was also delicious in a modern and artful Restaurant.

We loved everything about this place. The grounds were stunning and the lodge itself was very nice. We had a huge room. This was also one of the few places we stayed that had good wifi. There was a cute jack russel who kept guard. The staff truly went above and beyond! From making us yummy meals to helping us buff out our rental car that we destroyed in Kruger. They even packed us lunches to take with us to Kruger! It was very nice chatting with the hosts and learning more about Africa and South Africa. Thank you for a great stay!
