We stayed here as a group ahead of a wedding. We all felt very safe and secure. Alan and the staff provided a very homely feel and were super attentive and couldn’t do more for us. Beautiful location. Clean rooms and very good facilities well equipped with everything we needed.

It's a beautiful location and I was welcomed and provided with everything I'd need. It might not be for everyone, but it was perfect for me.

This retreat is located in quiet Swellendam in the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains. The spacious rooms feature modern décor with rustic touches and living areas with flat-screen satellite TVs. Beautiful property. We stayed here one night for my birthday and the room was absolutely beautiful and nicely set up. My favourite thing is the wood burning fireplace in the room which made for an extremely cost atmosphere. The property itself is pretty and in a nice area a short 4min drive from the old historic part of Swellendam. Lana helped us book a nice dinner (the last table) in town upon our arrival and was very sweet. The room had nice complimentary touches (coffee, rusk, etc.). This room would be great for couples or family with 1 or 2 small kids as there are bunk beds in the room.

Saxon Lodge a bed & breakfast in Gansbaai, which is known as the ideal location for shark cage diving and whale watching. We stayed here overnight after our whale watching boat trip. Tranquail place overlooking the bay. The staff, the manager and the owner were super friendly and welcoming. The family suite was comfortable, open to the property little garden and swimming pool. It would have been an even lovelier place in summer. Wish we could stay longer

This place is an absolute MUST! It has everything you could want. Gorgeous views, truly friendly and hospitable hosts, and a really comfortable and luxurious accommodation! This is the perfect place for a reset, to connect deeply with family or friends, or a space to "switch off" from the distractions of the day. You feel completely separate from the hustle and bustle of city life here. We will recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine getaway. We only stayed one night and had to leave earlier the next morning, so I HIGHLY recommend you book TWO nights, instead of just one. There is a refreshing dam to swim in, beautiful nature reserve walks/hikes, and hammocks to swing in and relax. It kind of has it all. My wife and I stayed here to spend quality time together, so we intentionally spent time mostly ourselves, but if you are looking for making new friendships and having a laugh, there is a communal space where you can enjoy that as well. We highly recommend this place, and will be back again if we are in the area! Don't miss the opportunity to stay here! If you are looking for a luxury outdoors experience to refocus, relax, or have fun this is the place for you!
