We stayed here as a group ahead of a wedding. We all felt very safe and secure. Alan and the staff provided a very homely feel and were super attentive and couldn’t do more for us. Beautiful location. Clean rooms and very good facilities well equipped with everything we needed.

They gave me excellent recommendations, tailored for a traveler with limited time—exactly what I needed. They even shared a special spot for watching the sunset with private beach entrance. We had long conversations, and the whole experience felt truly special. I’m so grateful to this family and really hope to return one day.

This retreat is located in quiet Swellendam in the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains. The spacious rooms feature modern décor with rustic touches and living areas with flat-screen satellite TVs. Oh my goodness! So unexpectedly nice, and the fireplace plus constant supply of wood made it sooooo nice! Let's not forget the perfect showers!! WOW!!! Staff were exceptional, and the location cannot be beat! You do need a car though.

The central fire place makes the mornings and evenings comfy and cozy. The food is all freshly prepared with fresh ingredients and very tasty. The host family are the warmest and gentlest we've ever met. "Be at home", they said. We were.

It was clean and neat and bright and shiny. Loved the pool deck area and we were a group of friends so was lovely to spend time together out there. Was comforting to know that the cars were safely parked behind good security.
