Lapazul is an absolute gem—easily one of the most memorable places I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. The views are simply breathtaking, perched high in the jungle with the ocean in the distance, and the chance to spot local wildlife adds to the magic. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and have everything you need to truly relax. But what really sets Lapazul apart is the top-notch hospitality. The warmth and attention to detail from the staff is among the best I’ve ever experienced—genuine, personal, and truly caring. Special mention to Mr. Jorge, whose first-class service and warm presence made us feel incredibly welcome. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered at any hotel in the world. And the food? Outstanding. Every dish is full of flavor and heart, far surpassing the local restaurants in town. The menu is focused and perfectly executed, with ingredients that shine. You can taste the passion in every bite. If you’re looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature and comfort, this is the place. Plus, it’s just a short drive down to the beach at Dominical. I can’t recommend it enough.

Everything. The hotel is physically beautiful -- an exotic, tropical Oasis of serenity and calm. The individual rooms facing a shimmering pool were so well appointed. It also meant I didn't have to listen to the TV or conversations in the room next door! The bed was extremely comfortable and the waterfall shower soothing. They provided both beach and swimming pool towels. The staff could not be more helpful -- they arranged tours and even escorted me to the location, they arranged a most wonderful massage in my room, and made dinner recommendations every night.

Everything! if you want to disconnect from the world in a beautiful place, secluded and so beautiful, come here. I didn’t want to leave, ever. The privacy of the room is fantastic. The restaurant food is great. Your own private pool is awesome. the view is amazing. You shower outside which is very private too but such an amazing experience. This is a must if ever in Uvita, especially if you are in love, lol.

Absolutely stunning property that overlooks the ocean and has well maintained trails. The service was five star and the staff were incredibly welcoming. We only stayed one night en route from La Fortuna to Sierpe. I wish we could’ve extended our stay because it was one of our favorite stops on the trip. There’s so much to do, even with a 6 year old. Breakfast and dinner at their restaurant was also totally solid, but it’s just a short drive into Uvita if you want to go off site. I would 100% stay there again.

Magnificent site, superior bird watching opportunities - 40-60 species sighted, beautiful facility with a lake-sized pool, grand sunsets into the ocean views, attentive, professional yet personable staff, and gracious owners. By far the best place we've been to. We fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of the jungle, surrounded by countless animals, simply paradise! The rooms are spacious, modern in design and very clean. The kitchen by the pool is fully equipped and dinners can be prepared. Keith and Joe the best hosts. From the first moment you feel welcome and at home. Taking care of recommendations for places to travel, beaches and restaurants. Joe's breakfast is homemade and very tasty. We couldn't have asked for a better place to end three weeks in Costa Rica.
