Our room was large, clean, and had a terrance on the bay. Everyone on the staff was very helpful suggesting local villages and hikes that we hadn’t previously considered. The grounds were large enough for an evening walk and the patio tables always seemed to have guests happily swapping stories. Even though we didn’t use the spa, it looked inviting.

Breakfast was heaven! Very special that you could order breakfast instead of buffet. We have known the previous owner and stayed in Hotel Amerika many times. It was beautiful to see how beautiful this hotel is build up again after the earthquake.

It's been decorated with exquisite taste and every single item has a story of its own. The location is very tranquil, but also close to the vibrant city and beach life. The staff were very helpful and always welcoming with a big smile. The breakfast is a combination of resort buffet with local flavors that seemed homemade. The pool is magnificent with relaxing music and the access to the beach is great!
