Wow, this property is AMAZING! It was the highlight of our three weel trip! Totally worth the cost! It's in a prime location within walking distance to many prime places. The staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating! The restaurant was out of this world- delicious Italian! Paying for thr breakfast is worth it! So many options!!!!

Amazing hotel in the Japanese traditional style, where you are supposed to walk bare foot all over the place. Lovely onsens, both private and public, are avaliable without reservation, you can wear traditional and cosy japanese-style bathrobes and try free of charge evening's soup and icecreams. The staff is always ready to help and polite. We felt a taste of Japan there, even if we were just to stay in the hotel and not to see the cultural heritage of Kyoto! Highly recommended place!

    We don’t often stay in ‘nice hotels’ so this was such a treat. The service is truly 5 stars. The hotel itself feels very luxurious through every touch. It was nice to have the swimming pool as being Summer and Aussies, we had missed being able to have a splash. Tattoos needed to be covered up, but it was open all day without reservations which was great compared to other hotels. Our view overlooked a Temple, the Kyoto Tower and some mountains. Room was spacious. Location good, close enough walk to Kyoto station. We didn’t dine onsite.

    The best hotel I stayed in while in Japan. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The detailed design and finishes of the room were outstanding. The bathroom colour for instance was an unexpected yet VERY classy. The staff was friendly and super helpful in helping me get around. I loved the reception area. Also well appointed with a beautiful stream view. The apéritivo till 10 PM was an excellent touch (sake collection, snacks, tea and coffee).
