What a stunning location and such a friendly and kind family! The rooms are absolutely stunning and the location genuinely unbeatable. You do have to be prepared to walk up and down a large flight of stairs to benefit from that beauty but it is totally worth it. The hosting family were extremely helpful, kind and thoughtful. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to any traveller looking for somewhere off the beaten track!

The owner Namal and his family are generous and kind. When we arrived Namal provided us with tuk-tuk ride from train station to the home-stay. The room where we stayed was comfortable and clean, but the best par to it was the view, which is not possible to explain with the words or photos. We really enjoyed in the nature and the view from his place. Also, the breakfast was delicious. In the end Namal help us to catch the local bus to the south coast. Thank you for the hospitality and help. If we return to Ella, we would like to stay at this place again.

The staff was really nice and helped us a lot! The cooking class is highly recommended. It's surprising to see the kitchen look a little familiar here. There's nothing not to like about vegetarian options. They give us budget taxi service.

The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which really made it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing place to stay. Would definitely come back!

Nine Skies is the definition of boutique luxury. It is a small hotel with only 5 rooms and the service we received from all the staff was truly so personable this really felt like a home away from home. The design of the whole hotel is beautiful with a wonderful living room, with a cosy fire in the evenings, and our suite room was beautiful with a terrace. The pool has an amazing view over the tea plantation. All the meals we had were delicious. Our host was very friendly and helpful, organising day trips for us and setting up our own table with lots of candles for dinner by the pool one evening, and also set up our own private breakfast at a look out point which were both lovely experiences. This hotel is brilliant if you want a very quiet, secluded spot in the Hill Country with excellent service and food. It is an expensive hotel but it is worth the money.

The place has a beautiful view! The star was definitely the Sri Lankan complementary breakfast they have. It was excellent and very big! I really enjoyed staying at this place.

Nice and clean hotel situated bang in the middle of Ella. The room were spacious and comfortable and the staff all friendly and helpful. Being close to middle of town meant the faint hubbub of life going on outside was in the background but this was nice and anyhow stopped relatively early.
