Great hotel! When you return from trekking in the mountains, it's a perfect place to relax and recover. The staff is always willing to accommodate guests: they checked us in early and allowed us to check out an hour later. The pool is fantastic, the hotel's area are beautiful, the bed in the room is huge, and the fruit plate in the room was a nice bonus. The hotel is located close to the main square but on a quiet street.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we arrived in Nepal, and what a perfect welcome that was. The exterior and the interior of the hotel were such a delight to the eye and the soul. All topped up by true Nepalese hospitality and an amazing breakfast!

The staff at Akama are super welcoming and very helpful. Rooms are large, with big bathrooms. The whole building is kept very clean. Don't miss the delicious breakfast.

The hotel overall is great. It is very good located, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast is very good and all the staff is really friendly. They helped me in everything I needed in Katmandu, including the organization of 2 tours. An excellent choice!

The Timber House is a gem in the Thamel district! It is nicely located close to many places of interest, shops, and cafés. It has its own unique style and great jacuzzi bathtubs in the rooms. It also has a small but cozy balcony and a gorgeous rooftop restaurant. The staff was very helpful and polite, especially Ram Prasad, the front desk supervisor, who always provided us with useful information, which was especially important during the days of protests. They took all the necessary precautions to keep the hotel safe during the unrest.
