The hotel was in the quiet green hills. Upon arrival we heard that there would be a big group of teenage kids and for that reason we got an upgrade to the deluxe room, which was huge. We were not bothered by the kids at all and we enjoyed everything: the pool, the sauna, the restaurant. Great quality food, we decided to have several dinners there, the personnel was very friendly and available. Would recommend!

The establishment is amazing and very well maintained. We loved our time there, the staff is very caring and the facilities are outstanding. We got upgraded upon arrival and the small attentions make this trip even better. We should have definitely stayed longer and we will be returning very soon. We were concerns about the construction noises based on different reviews but it’s minimal and definitely not an issue.

This is a fantastic ex-palace. The reception and main rooms are exquisite. You can use any of the main rooms any time, although the chairs being in keeping with the period are not that comfortable LOL. Great ambience. Excellent pool (getting a pool towel on the other hand more of a challenge!). Basic gym. Outstanding breakfast. Easy parking. Excellent staff. We loved our stay here (we stayed in a superior view room on the 2nd floor, with a terrace looking down to Faro (and a lot of grass). Yes, the building is VERY OLD which means that in a few places the paint is peeling etc. There was also some refurbishment work done in the reception (old chapel ) while we were there. This did nothing to detract from my enjoyment but if you worry about that sort of thing, don't stay.

There was no breakfast. We arrived on the train and spent ages finding the little street where our host had his home - only to discover that address wasnot where the apartment was. Explainable when he has several apartments, but why did the info not tell us any of this - and why was the real address (which would have been much easier to locate) only put in an email during the morning of our travelling there? Seems weird - not all of us have our phones pinging with emails. Our host kindly droves us to the relevant apartment, but that’s not the point!

Nice little gem just outside Tavira. Superfriendly and genuine owners that gave us a lot of recommendations about the area, restaurants and things to do nearby. Lovely breakfast with loads of fresh fruit, coffee and all the things you want and need to start your day. Nice and clean room with a comfy bed. Can’t do anything but to recommend this.
