You can go to the city from the airport, it takes 5 mins from the hotel to the airport by the shuttle bus and then there you can take metro or bus if you are on a budget to each the city. It takes 30 mins by bus and metro to reach the Heaven;s palace near the forbidden city. The stuff was very friendly and always trying to help, they have a small translator decide to help with communication. The service was at high level.
