This is an absolute gem of a hostel in Chugchilan! Perfect spot for the Quilotoa loop hike! Chef Clarita prepared us a lovely vegetarian lunch on request when we arrived which was just what we needed! Amazing pasta bake for dinner and lovely breakfast in the morning! Endless supply of world class banana Bread and cookies provided for free! Lots of nice personal touches including a birthday cake for one of the guests! Room was also alpine like, spread over two floors!

Lovely family-run hostel, ideal stop especially for vegetarians as Doña Clarita cooks excellent veggie food, often of the kind that is hard to come by in Ecuador, such as chickpea curry. When it gets cold, there is a hearth to ignite a proper Hygge atmosphere. Coffee round the clock, cuddly cat and two dogs included!

Wow! The quality of this hostel is outstanding and it's cheap! The rooms are huge with very comfortable beds, many blankets and a modern and clean bathroom. The hot water was brilliant after a long day hiking the Quilotoa Loop. The dinner and breakfast included were delicious - we had the vegetarian option. They also sell drinks, snacks and packed lunches for your hike. Best hotel in Chugchilán!

Luxurious for a hostal!

Location was excellent, a short walk from the crater. The included meals were good: soup, chicken and rice for dinner and a good selection of cereal, eggs and fruit for breakfast. Good internet connection. The room was cold but under the good quality duvet and two blankets I was very cosy, and the bed was very comfy. Hot water in the shower.
