The hotel was exceptional thropughout, the room was well decorated and well maintained. The location was amazing with shops and cafes nearby and the city center within a couple of minutes walk

Perfect location to explore Yorkshire and beautiful country views right from our bedroom window. Delicious hot breakfast included in the price. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Beautiful victorian style building with lots of space and a four poster bed. Friendly welcome from Lisa who allowed an early check in and provided some priceless tourist advice with a map. In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation. The room was comfortable and quiet. The food was excellent. The hotel is an easy walk to magnificent trails and natural sites. The staff was exceptional, especially in helping us overcome major transportation problems ; the location is superb, but difficult to reach without a car. The staff was able to find us a driver, albeit expensive, without whom we could not have made our train connections.
