We went to the resort in May and it was very peaceful and quiet, we basically had the whole common pool for ourselves. The staff and local people in the area were amazing, incredibly welcoming and kind. We fell in love with the people of Bintan. The food at the hotel restaurant Azura is really tasty, especially the smoothies. We drank those all day everyday! We also booked a tour from the hotel and it was really nice!

Boasting a private beach area, Pantai Indah Lagoi Bintan is located in Lagoi, northern of Bintan Island. The property offers villas with air-conditioned bedrooms and private pools. The villa was exactly as advertised, clean, comfortable and the private pool was great fun. The location was very peaceful, and we didn’t hear any noise overnight. Beds were comfortable and rooms were really nicely done. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They helped us to arrange transfers to activities we wanted to do on the island. The beach here was quiet, clean and very beautiful. The hotel food was nice and the restaurant has a lovely beach view. There are also food options in Lagoi which is only 5mins away in a taxi and the taxi cost very little. The hotel arranged taxis for us which made it super easy to pop in when we wanted to pick bits up. Information online is fairly scarce about Lagoi, so for info we found warung yeah! Which is a reasonably priced eatery offering a pretty extensive menu at a smaller cost than the resort hotels, and we found a bbq place in Lagoi. There are also some street vendors selling world food options, again for a good price. There is also a bar but that was on the pricey side. You could easily eat in Lagoi for a good price. Alternatively if travelling further afield the restaurants at Nirwana Gardens were lovely and about 15mins away by taxi. We really enjoyed our stay overall.

It is more a family hotel; most of the guests came with their kids. Food was good, particularly the buffet option. Their staff was very kind and helpful. The massage facility was excellent.

Located in Nirvana Gardens, Indra Maya Pool Villas offers luxurious and modern villas with a private entrance and private pool. The resort offers massage services and a 24-hour front desk. It was exceptional, a beautiful well-appointed villa in a gorgeous location. The villa was really spacious with three indoor & one outdoor bathrooms. It was extremely clean and plenty of towels were provided. The infinity pool afforded a great view over the bay and there were plenty of seating options provided. The villas sit within the wider Norway’s Gardens resort, which is actually made up of five separate properties, so we could choose to eat at any of the resort’s restaurants. The food was good, mainly what you’d expect at a resort (buffet breakfast, sandwiches & salads for lunch) but there were plenty of Indonesian options and the Spice restaurant (Indian) was delicious. We loved the over-water bar & its cocktail selection & friendly bartender. A golf buggy is provided for the villa which was really handy (it would be a lot of walking if you didn’t have it) and which my late-teenage boys loved. There was a huge range of activities if you wanted to be active - we jet-skied, played ten pin bowling, did archery and target shooting, released baby endangered Hawksbill turtles. The resort is set in lush jungle and gardens and we enjoyed views of the wildlife (monkeys, bats, squirrels & butterflies). The villas exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay here again.
