The restaurant was incredible great food and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The live music was a bonus and just made the night.

We were greeted upon arrival and shown around the house. We were offered complimentary coffee and breakfast items. The cottage is unique, very cosy, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances (microwave, kettle, toaster, hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer). The electric shower in the bathroom works perfectly. The living room has a big tv. There are books, jigsaw puzzles and outdoor games available. There are two lovely outdoor seating areas, and the neighbourhood is quiet and peacful. The local supermarket has a good choice of groceries (we are vegan and had no trouble buying everything we needed), as well as other necessities. The location is perfect for visiting Ireland's Ancient East attractions, as well as a day trip to Dublin (about 1.5 h drive). Also, an EV charger is available!

Everything was fine...I was late arriving and given a key and shown how to open the door. Breakfast was what I requested and on time. I had stayed before and we caught up on what had happened since last I stayed. I was happy to see Molly, her 20 year old dog was still walking and friendly.

There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Meadowside B&B has everything you would want. We have enjoyed our visits and return every couple years. Our host has made us feel very welcomed at any time of the year. The historic atmosphere and decor is lovely. We enjoyed the peaceful, private garden area overlooking the meadow and river. We walked just a couple minutes to be in the center of Bunclody for shops and restaurants. We highly recommend Meadowside for the location and its comforts. We were able to explore the interesting destinations in the area quite easily and come back to relax in a lovely sitting room.
