The Parknasilla Hotel's sweeping staircase leads past a stained glass window, towards the luxurious guest rooms. The modern and spacious rooms are decorated in light colours and include a TV and free Wi-Fi. Many beautiful walking trails. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. Dinners at the restaurants were excellent. Live music in the evening was a nice touch.

Rooms at the 4-star family-run hotel have baths and shower. They also have satellite TVs, hair dryers and most rooms have countryside views, some have balconies. An amazing hotel, located on a lake affording views that are beautiful and ever changing as the day progresses. Room had both an amazing view and was beyond spacious. We wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is close to all the main visit areas for Killarney and is on the Ring of Kerry route for those wishing to drive the route themselves as we did. Breakfast was comprehensive and well executed. For those driving hybrid or electric cars, the hotel has four fast charge parking bays, but you will need the right cable.

With a relaxed atmosphere complemented by old style charm and hospitality, the Old Weir Lodge features a spacious foyer and beautifully appointed resident's lounge which provide a comfortable and friendly setting. Our room was amazing - spacious with charming decor. The staff was magnificent - super helpful with numerous tips about "must-does" of the areas. A highlight of the breakfast were the home-baked scones.

The property has mountain and garden views, and is 17 km from O'Connell Memorial Church. When staying at the country house, guests can use private entrance. If I could give 6 stars I would! There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Alan's place was the highlight of our trip. Alan was a very generous host and nothing was too much trouble. The view from the outside terrace had to be seen to be believed. We will definitely be back!
