Located in the heart of the beautiful Westport Quay, Ireland, The Helm is adjacent to Westport House and overlooks the idyllic Westport Harbour. It offers a restaurant and bar with live entertainment.

All modern and spacious apartments have separate living rooms and kitchens. Each also offers a washing machine and free Wi-Fi. We informed the management of the estimated time of our arrival and told them we would get a taxi straight to the facility. When we arrived at the Westport train station we were met by a member of the management in a mini bus. Lovely surprise. When my husband and friend arrived much later that evening the kitchen was closed but they cheerfully reopened it and fed them with a fabulous plate of fresh fish and chips. The food was absolutely delicious and very plentiful. The owners and staff were wonderful, very warm and friendly. The apartment was very pleasant and comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough of the people of this warm and welcoming place. I hope to return there someday and very highly recommend it to people looking for a lovely vacation experience. Killarney Lodge is just 3 km from Lough Leane and boasts several wonderful golf courses on its doorstep. The Lodge also offers an extensive breakfast menu. The location was perfect. It was very close to the centre, but it was secluded and peaceful. The lodge had a home feel to it. Breakfast was exceptional, and they had fresh flowers everywhere.

Rooms are individually decorated with a lovely country house style. The rooms all have en suite showers, satellite TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. Irons, hairdryers and telephones are also provided and free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Very kind and helpful staff, great breakfast, delicious food in the restaurant.

The Parknasilla Hotel's sweeping staircase leads past a stained glass window, towards the luxurious guest rooms. The modern and spacious rooms are decorated in light colours and include a TV and free Wi-Fi. Many beautiful walking trails. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. Dinners at the restaurants were excellent. Live music in the evening was a nice touch.

Nestled on the shores of Loch Lein, The Lake Hotel has magnificent mountain views. Just 2km from Killarney, a restaurant and the hotel has en suite rooms.

Rooms at the 4-star family-run hotel have baths and shower. They also have satellite TVs, hair dryers and most rooms have countryside views, some have balconies. We spend a great time and we plan to go back next year.

The Mill Park Hotel is a luxurious 4-star hotel located a mere 10 minutes' walk from historic Donegal Town. Offering free WiFi, a swimming pool, a restaurant and ample free parking.
