We had an incredible experience at this hotel during our recent stay in Nubra Valley. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. The team’s attentiveness and kindness made us feel right at home, and their dedication truly enhanced our stay. Our room was nothing short of perfect. The accommodations were spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered a breathtaking view of the majestic Himalayas. Waking up to such a view every morning was an absolute treat, and it made our experience even more memorable. A special mention must be made of Chef Ravi Bane, whose culinary skills turned every meal into a delightful experience. He made sure to prepare each dish using fresh, local ingredients, and every night we were surprised with something new and delicious. The attention to detail in the food was outstanding, and it added a personal touch to our stay that we will not forget. Despite staying during the mid-winter season, the hotel provided us with excellent heating throughout our stay. Our room was equipped with a bed warmer and bathroom floor heating, which made the chilly weather outside feel like a distant memory. The warmth and comfort we experienced indoors were much appreciated during the cold nights. We’d like to express our sincere thanks to the entire team for making our stay so special. From the welcoming staff to the amazing culinary experience and the cozy, well-equipped rooms, everything was beyond our expectations. We are already planning our next visit to Nubra Valley and are excited to return during a different season to enjoy the new expansion and the pool. We can’t wait to experience the hotel in warmer weather, and we’ll definitely be back soon!

I spent only one night there and was not able to evaluate the breakfast, but all other things were ok. The location is bout ten minutes from the central streets (Market etc). When I came, they allowed me to choose one of the two rooms. The first was on the ground floor and had a view on high mountains, but I chose the second, with a balcony and without such a view. I left the hotel very early in the morning - and there were no problems with that (even though the person responsible for that had to wake up). The territory of the hotel is flowery, clean and green and has several chairs where one can have a rest.

The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The on-site restaurant offered a variety of delicious food options that really impressed me. The location is very convenient—close to the airport—and the rooms were spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Overall, a very positive experience.

The amenities are what you expect in a remote cottage with no electrical lines. It's the same for every cottage in Lukung. The generators run only from 7pm to 10:30 pm and you should come to Pangong tso for the views and adventure and stay away if you are seeking comfort. Also, you will be dying for oxygen if the generators run all night or if you have heaters in your room. I'd rather stay alive than just be comfortable. In terms of the cottage and host, Thinley is one of the nicest people I have met on my trip. He made Kadha for my cousin when he had a cold and fed us chai at all times of the day. He made food 3 times a day and it was pretty decent imo. The rooms are basic with a comfortable and warm bed but the prices are more than competitive compared to other cottages and it's totally worth it. I would stay in Thinley's cottage next time I come to Pangong and decide to stay in Lukung.

The comfortable beds, plush linens, and modern amenities provided a cozy retreat after a long day of exploring the picturesque landscapes of Leh Ladakh. The stunning views from my room's window of the surrounding mountains and valleys were simply awe-inspiring and added an extra touch of magic to my stay. The hotel's on-site restaurant offered a delightful culinary experience. The menu featured a wide range of local and international dishes, prepared with the freshest ingredients. I particularly enjoyed indulging in the authentic Ladakhi cuisine, which showcased the rich flavors and unique culinary traditions of the region. The attentive staff ensured that all my dietary preferences were taken into consideration, making dining at the hotel an absolute pleasure. Hotel Gyalpo Residency's location is also worth highlighting. Situated in the heart of Leh, it provided convenient access to major attractions and was a perfect base for exploring the enchanting Ladakh region. Whether it was visiting ancient monasteries, embarking on thrilling treks, or simply immersing myself in the local culture, the hotel's central location made it all easily accessible.

Peaceful and comfortable stay at the resort with the vast garden area adding a charm to the whole property. Very polite, calm and helpful staff making sure that all our needs were fulfilled, amazing local Ladakhi food with ingredients straight from the kitchen garden. Very family friendly property, everyone with kids must book this resort when in Hunder, Nubra. Oh and the heated indoor swimming pool was the cherry on top. Thank you Team

We could not be more grateful to have chosen Dolkhar Resort as our base for exploring Ladakh in late September 2024. The overall experience was beyond perfect and really made a huge difference to our travel. We were so impressed by how everything was coherent and beautifully curated in such remote location. The property is really flawless and done in such good taste. Everything is sustainable without any compromise on the comfort and aesthetics. We loved every detail of it. Their lovely staff helped us arrange everything before coming and define the itineraries for both the local trips while staying in Leh as well as the few days trip to the more remote locations. Everyone was extremely kind and looked after us during our stay. We ate at Tsas restaurant everyday and tried probably all the dishes which were local or modern interpretation of the local cuisine and each time it was a beautiful experience. It was clear to us that the people behind Dolkhar have put a lot of heart and thought to make this place so special.
