We really appreciated the small things; the welcome note and chocolate, the welcome Prosecco, the attentive response of staff, help booking dinners, turn down service. We felt extremely well cared for and we would come back in a heartbeat. We did not have time to fully take advantage of the hotel offerings as there was so much for us to see in Florence. The breakfast is so beautiful and the cocktails to die for. Returning to Florence would be in part enticing to be able to return to La Gemma.

It‘s on the main street and just minutes walk to all tourist attractions. The staff there are really welcoming, really gave us a very warm welcome to the city which left us a great first impression of our visiting to Florence. Also the entrance design makes you feel safe at this city. Highly recommend!

Extremely clean and quiet oasis a little off the beaten path, but worth the few extra steps. I booked the small double and it was still a very good size. Excellent shower. And excellent breakfast with hot and cold food as well as fresh pastries. Only about five or so minute walk to Santo Spirito and 10-15 to train station.
