A 3-minute stroll from Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto boasts an outdoor hot spring bath. It offers luxurious Japanese-style and Western rooms and a free shuttle from Miyajima Pier. Dinner and breakfast were really good. Staff was polite and helpful. The size of the room was quite good and we had a view of the garden, which were really pretty. Hot springs were of a good size, well maintained and quiet.

Being in the middle of everything, getting the traditional experience as well as able to use the onsen.

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Staff were very prompt and thoughtful, responding to my query immediately and ensuring my food restriction is taken care of. They were attentive and ensured my needs were taken care of. Thank you very much for making me feel at home.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Our room was incredible. It was one of our favorite rooms we stayed in during our two weeks travelling across Japan. It had so much character and beauty, from the tatami matt flooring, paper screen doors, beautiful wooden flooring in the bathroom, and bamboo weaving on the ceiling banisters. In our room, we had a fine view of the bustling streets of Miyajima. It was a great view for people watching as tourists and locals visited stores and restaurants. The dinner was great, made with fresh ingredients. It was no doubt one of the best dinners we had in Japan. It consisted of multiple courses, and you were able to choose preferences for each course. This was a nice surprise, as we had stayed in another ryokan in Hakone a few days prior that did not offer a selection for the courses. The sashimi was super fresh, and the pork tonkotsu was terrific.

Each area of the house had controlled heating and ac. Fully stocked free bar with nice treats. The hot was fantastic. Great, convenient quiet location.
