A 10-minute drive from Kintetsu Nara Train Station on the hotel’s free shuttle, Mikasa offers open-air baths and a dining room with beautiful Nara views. On-site parking is free. What an experience, staying at Mikasa is my version of heaven. The staff were sweet, the breakfast and dinner were so enjoyable, 8-courses of a tasting menu meant that every night all our relatives were jealous of the pictures we were sending home. Our food preferences were adjusted for, and the bar at the end of the night was to look out over the city light. 4 nights wasn’t enough the enjoy this experiment. Public bath was great, and my mum really liked talking to yuki now!

It is also within walking distance of Murou Art Forest. Both are must-sees. Parking is available but requires a reservation so be sure to contact the proprietor. After each day of sightseeing around the area, I looked forward to returning to my room and enjoying the cleanliness and comfort. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable stay away from the city, look no further!
