The room I stayed in was very large with soft beds and a modern bathroom, albeit designed such that it was in-keeping with the general townhouse vibe of the hotel. I would recommend both the shopping arcade tour and the breakfast to anyone interested in staying here. The staff will also support you in finding local restaurants that suit your taste! It is extremely easy to get to/from Kyoto from here (regular trains, taking around 10-15 mins). Staying here would be the highlight of any trip to the Kansai region.
