This beautiful place was so peaceful, the room was the most comfortable room we stayed in sri lanka, the breakfast was delicious and the room even had a tv with Netflix and other streaming service. The place was amazing!!!!

My stay at Woodland Sanctuary was absolutely wonderful! The place is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The wooden family suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and had a cozy, natural feel. The hospitality was top-notch—friendly hosts, delicious food, and great attention to detail. The location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like Sigiriya and Minneriya National Park. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique and tranquil stay in nature. Can’t wait to return!

Very nice atmosphere and facilities, comfortable beds. Also the food is great, having breakfast and dinner at the hotel is nice after a long day visiting.

First: huge room as you see it , bed big and comfy, all you need is there. In addition the setting is perfect, far from main roads, it is quiet, no car noise, no pollution, immerse in a garden with Coco and banana plants, you wake up with birds singing. there are even the srilanka squirrels! Not sure the name.. Archeological park is far from town and huge, therefore you need a mean of transport anyway... But the most important thing were Ishani and her family. i was booking places for our holiday, when I saw this place and I decided that I was going to book all places run by local families, in order to know them more, the culture, the food. Also I know that srilanka people are very nice and I think they deserve to be known and to be rewarded directly. But I couldn't imagine we were going to feel so well here! They are all so incredibly nice. We had srilanka breakfast and dinner for the 3days prepared by them, great! I suggested them to set cooking classes! The big surprise was that they speak also Italian! So we chat in English and Italian! Leaving this morning was not easy, we felt at home. And I really wishto see them again. For sure we'll keep in touch. I don't think it'll be possible to match this great welcoming place during this trip.

The staff were super friendly at all times. We really loved the food, breakfast has a big variety of dishes and it was delicious! The bungalow is amazing too, a comfortable and beautiful place in the middle of nature with a private pool - we enjoyed a lot! I highly recommend!

We are a group of 5 catalans who stayed in two accommodations, one of which was up in a tree. The experience has been fabulous, perhaps the best lodging in Sri Lanka. Both houses were super clean, humble but very beautiful ✨ The surroundings were wild, and all you could hear were birds. We saw several animals. The gentleman was always super attentive in every way. He prepared some amazing lunches for us and even better dinners. The owner cooked for us on the spot, and honestly, a 10!! It was delicious (one of the best places we’ve tried), tailored to our taste (in our case, without spice), and featuring typical local dishes. Plus, the price was always very fair; at no point did we feel overcharged (there are many places that jack up prices when you’re a tourist). A must-stay accommodation if you’re in the area!! 💯

The room was nice and clean and pretty luxurious for the price of it. The bathroom is super big and has everything you need in it: shaving kit, teeth cleaning kit, shampoo, body wash and hair conditioner. For breakfast, you can pick between Sri Lankan and western breakfast: we tried both of them and were super satisfied with both. The host and the guy working there have done everything for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
