I cannot recommend this stay more highly. It is a sheer pleasure to spend time at Bellwood Manor.

We stayed at this apartment in Nuwara Eliya for 2 nights, and it was honestly one of the best places we experienced during our trip to Sri Lanka. The apartment was incredibly cool, cozy, and beautifully decorated — every detail of the ambiance felt thoughtfully curated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The host, Namal, was extremely helpful and made sure all our needs were taken care of. A special mention to their wonderful caretaker, Qasim, who was so kind and accommodating — he generously provided us with coffee, creamers, and sugar whenever we asked. The kitchen was well-equipped with all kinds of appliances and cutlery, which made it very convenient for us. We especially loved the decorative touches and the overall vibe of the space. If I could rate it out of 10, I’d happily give it a 100! 🥰 Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Nuwara Eliya.

The cook was fantastic, preparing incredible meals that we’ll never forget. The staff also helped us organize drivers and day trips, making our experience seamless and enjoyable. The hotel itself was spotless, with immaculate rooms and facilities. The scenery and views were breathtaking, offering the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable stay. This part of Sri Lanka is truly a must-see, and staying at this hotel made our visit even more remarkable. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Brilliant property with great views and excellent friendly staff. Both breakfast and dinner were really good and special mention to the coffee. Sauna was really good and the pool was great. Room was spacious and the super king size bed was enormous. It's a little bit outside the main NE area. Will definitely recommend.

From the moment we arrived, a lush, verdant entrance welcomed us, leading to an unforgettable reception. Our gracious hosts, who were already prepared for our arrival, greeted us with warm smiles and an incredible surprise—a complimentary upgrade from our superior room to the hotel's most spacious suite, along with a free upgrade to a half-board booking that included a fully paid dinner. ​The hotel's ambiance was one of pure elegance and luxury. Every detail, from the stylish furnishings and abundant greenery to the fresh citrus scent that filled the air, was meticulously curated and absolutely breathtaking. The genuine care and joyful guidance from the staff made us feel not just like guests, but like welcomed friends. ​Our Suite and the Hotel Grounds ​Our suite was simply fabulous. It was a spacious and beautifully decorated sanctuary, where every detail had been carefully considered. The room's design embraced the surrounding nature, with green views from every window that paired with a cool breeze to truly enrich our souls. The suite included a full bar, a large, well-maintained bathroom, two balconies with seating areas, and a luxurious lounge with a large smart TV. ​The bed was a dream of comfort, and even the mosquito net was so elegantly designed that it blended seamlessly into the decor. An extra bed provided for our daughter was just as comfortable, and the bathroom was fully stocked with robes, slippers, and all the necessary toiletries. The rain shower, with its strong water pressure and warm water, made every wash a refreshing experience. Thoughtful touches like an iron, an umbrella, and an electric room warmer were also provided, showing the staff's dedication to our comfort. ​Stepping outside the suite, we found a huge lobby with multiple indoor seating areas and shaded outdoor spaces.

They arranged beautiful room decorations and even helped me in surprising my husband with a cake – touches that made the occasion truly special. The hotel's location is a highlight, offering peaceful morning walks through the surrounding tea plantation. The property's rich heritage is evident in every corner, providing an authentic glimpse into Sri Lanka's colonial past. Special mention must go to Lakshman, whose attentive service really made our experience special. The entire staff demonstrated professionalism while maintaining a warm, personal approach. The food was delicious and the chef went out of his way to prepare a beautiful cake for us during our stay! For those seeking a tranquil retreat in Nuwara Eliya with impeccable service, Oliphant is an outstanding choice. It's perfect for couples wanting an intimate, peaceful escape with personalized attention.

We spent two nights at Langdale Boutique Hotel by Amaya and absolutely loved it. The hotel is tucked away in the middle of endless tea fields, and the views are just stunning, it feels like a little world of its own. What made our stay so memorable was the incredible staff. From start to finish, they made us feel so welcome and genuinely cared for, nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thank you to the reception and wait staff, as well as Chef Guiamme, who not only cooked us the most delicious meals but also took the time to share his recipes for Coconut Jam, Dhal, and Onion Sambal. We can’t wait to try them at home and share them with our friends and family. Such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay feel extra personal. We were kindly upgraded for our stay and the room was very comfortable and cozy, and we both slept so well and got the perfect recharge after exploring. We also loved the facilities — the heated pool was perfect after a day of adventuring, the mini golf is a nice touch and the walks around Langdale’s estate were peaceful and beautiful. We also used the laundry service which did a truly excellent job and refreshed our belongings for our onward journey. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka, and we’ll look back on it fondly. If you’re looking for warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and truly outstanding service, Langdale is the place to stay.
