Wow what a great place to relax and enjoy your privacy. A bit away from everything but it was perfect for us... The villa was spacious and clean and it was extremely private.. lovely breakfast. The staff was very kind and attentive. The food was a bit pricey after adding all the taxes and service charge, but it was really good.

A human-sized hotel with 13 rooms and numerous services. The staff is very helpful, always very friendly and willing to assist. The rooms are functional and decorated with attention to detail. Amazing views of coconut trees, the pool, and the Indian Ocean. The beach is very well equipped, not crowded, right at the hotel's doorstep, with sun loungers, canopy beds, and staff to monitor and assist guests. The place is very calm and relaxing. The hotel is like a secluded island in an area that doesn't have much interest in itself. The highlight: the restaurant serves excellent food, worthy of a starred restaurant, catering to all tastes at reasonable prices. The breakfast is also excellent, nothing like the bland international food of big hotel chains. The chef was attentive to our needs and tried to fulfill every wish we had. What's more, for my husband's birthday, we were offered a cake and a bottle of wine. We really felt pampered in Ahu Bay. Thanks again to all staff for this memorable holiday!

We were welcomed with popsicles when we arrived. Our room was massive, clean and had all the updated appliances. There was a private patio with a sun bed as well. The staff were incredible welcoming, friendly and helpful. They made the bed everyday, sometimes even twice a day, and they had all the mosquito repellents in the room and even replaced the mosquito lamps, incense and more (although we had no issues in the room probably because of that!). Breakfast selection was amazing and delicious. It was also really fun to watch the train go by in the morning during breakfast. Pool was clean and was really nice to dip in to escape the heat. Super convenient location, just walk across the railway tracks and you’re at the beach. There’s 24 hour security to open the gates for you no matter what time you come back. We started our trip here and it has been so hard to live up to those expectations. It is probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

Located in Bentota, Nyne Hotels, The Muse is just 1.3 km from Bentota Lake and offers a range of facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, and a shared lounge. Wow! This property was such good value. They own this property and the one next door (which is connected by a small passage way!) This one is more modern, while the other is more "historical" but both are stunning and you couldn't go wrong either way. The rooms are beautiful, and the food is excellent. It's a small hotel so there are only a few guests which was great. People alternated between hanging out at the beach, by the pool, or in the shaded areas playing games and reading books. The location is so charming - it's close to the Bentota restaurants if you want to uber for dinner. But you'll probably never want to leave either since the food is so good and you have everything you need on property. Right outside the backyard of the hotel is the beach. It's a very short walk and you have to cross over these train tracks. You'll hear the train go by several times a day, but it's not too loud! I actually sat to watch the train and passengers go by often, and it made for lots of great pictures and videos. I appreciated how helpful the staff were. I could Whatsapp them no matter what I needed, for instance when they helped me arrange a massage at the spa. They also surprised me with a special dinner, birthday cake, and flowers for my birthday! I wish I had discovered this hotel earlier on my trip because I would've stayed the entire time. It was my favorite hotel of my two week long trip in Sri Lanka, and there were many other great ones! Don't hesitate, just book this! I will never stay at a larger hotel again.
