We stayed in Kandy during the heavy rains 11/25 for 4 days and the hotel staff - although the had to work non-stop - took such good care of us. It’s just incredible how they kept things working (not only electricity, hot water supply, but also exceptional service at any time). It was a national tragedy but this hotel was the best place we could have wished to stay. We can totally recommend this luxury und outstanding accommodation!!

House located bit on the side, but that's a positive thing. Quiet neighbourhood and fresh fruits from the garden, but still short tuk-tuk ride to the down central. Pleasant room and really helpfull couple in this homestay.

Very accomodating, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Beautiful modern villa, set in a jungle like environment with nice views. The villa also offers a large and clean pool. Inoka the host suggested interesting sightseeing spots and her husband drove me to some locations around the area. I felt very welcome and safe travelling alone. The rooms are fantastic!Very nicely furnished, clean to a high standard, the bed comfortable and some rooms have a balcony. There is a elegant dining and living room area one may use with coffee and tea making facilities. My best stay in Sri Lanka so far and I highly recommend it. Ah, and not to forget the tasty food, I had dinner and breakfast here and it was so good. Inoka finally took me to the local bus station to make sure of a safe departure. Thanks again for everything!

We stayed at Simpson’s Forest – Luxury Boutique Resort & Spa in February 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. The location is absolutely stunning—set among lush tea plantations and forested hills, it’s the perfect retreat if you’re looking to relax and disconnect from the busy city life. The double room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food throughout our stay was excellent, with a great mix of local and international dishes. The value for money here is exceptional, especially considering the level of service and quality of the facilities. The staff were a major highlight. The front desk team were warm, professional, and very helpful. A special mention to Wasantha at the restaurant—he was incredibly kind and accommodating, making each meal feel like a personalized experience. The only small downside is that the resort is located about 45 minutes by tuk tuk from Kandy city center, which can make getting back and forth a bit of a trip. That said, the peaceful setting more than makes up for the distance. We highly recommend Simpson’s Forest to anyone visiting Kandy and looking for a scenic, peaceful, and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely love to return!
