The island is stunning, and the snorkeling was a highlight — from the beautiful house reef to incredible excursions where we swam with turtles and majestic manta rays. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, keeping both adults and kids happy. What truly made our stay special was the wonderful service. Hassan took such great care of us throughout, and Meru went above and beyond when I had a medical issue — her kindness and professionalism were a huge comfort. It was also very reassuring to know that the island has a doctor on site, which gave us extra peace of mind while traveling with kids. Beautiful setting, great activities, and genuinely caring staff made this trip unforgettable. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, personal, and deeply attentive. 🥐 Breakfast & Dining Experience The breakfast buffet was a standout — beautifully presented, with a wide variety of fresh options to suit every taste. They even provided avocado as per request. Whether you’re into tropical fruits, pastries or hearty hot dishes, there’s something for everyone. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly attentive, always ready to help, and keeping everything spotless. 🛏️ Accommodation We stayed in an overwater villa, and it was absolutely stunning. The villa was spacious, modern, and immaculately maintained. We especially appreciated the twice-a-day cleaning service — our room always felt fresh and cared for. 👨‍🍳 Service & Staff The service was truly world-class. Every staff member went above and beyond, but we want to give a special mention to: • All the waiters were extremely polite and nice, like Amir – incredibly professional, warm, and attentive • Ashraf – always smiling and made every meal feel special, offered his help many times and offered extra service. They made us feel welcome and remembered the little details, which added such a personal touch. 🤿 Diving Club – A Highlight of the Trip The on-site diving club was phenomenal. We joined the whale shark hunt, and it was an unforgettable experience. Huge thanks to: • Shiyaan – knowledgeable, patient, and deeply passionate about marine life • Jerry – fun, experienced, and made us feel completely safe in the water, even helped me not to sink as it was very difficult to swim while you are pregnant and trying to follow whale shark Their team was professional yet approachable — whether you’re a beginner or experienced diver, you’ll be in excellent hands.

Situated in Thoddoo, 800 metres from Thoddoo Beach, chillax Thoddoo features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. Our stay at Chillax Thoddoo was excellent. The owner of the guesthouse, Musa, arranged for us to be transferred from Male to the island and to the guesthouse. We were greeted with coconut drinks. The guesthouse is very cozy, the room was cleaned every day, there was hot water, and the food was simple but nutritious and delicious. We would like to express our gratitude to Musa and his staff for their assistance and advice, as well as for organizing our birthday party in the room. We were very pleased and will definitely return.

Each room is fitted with a balcony with views of the city. Staff is the best ever! Amazing people, with whom we shared 11 fantastic days! We became friends with Isha (Ikko), Liv, grandma, Siro, Ali, Nade and pretty much everyone else - cooks, cleaning staff etc. (apologies for mistyping or forgetting to mention your names :)). They helped us so much and made our stay a dream come true! During our stay thanks to the excursions Perla organized for us we saw and swam multiple times with whale sharks, mantas, turtles, pods of dolphins, sting rays and also swam with nurse sharks and went to a beautiful shipwreck for snorkelling. On top of that they sent us amazing go pro footage from the excursions for free! We saw local traditions and sampled exotic food during a local festival and it all felt like being part of one big family. We went for a day to a fancy resort nearby but honestly, we would recommend Perla over any modern resort as in Perla Dhangethi you have everything you need on an exotic local island for the fraction of the price one would have to pay at a resort and as a bonus you meet so many cool people from around the world! We will definitely come back soon!

Offering a luxurious paradise experience, Diamonds Athuruga Maldives Resort & SPA features spacious villas, a spa offering Ayurvedic treatments and a dive centre. It is just a 20-minute scenic seaplane flight from Malé International Airport. We loved everything! From the staff, to the location, the marine life, the beautiful beaches and the unbelievable food. What a wonderful experience! Huge shoutout to Titu, Malik and Naish, who made this extra special.
