We loved it so much. There was so much to do. The activities schedule was packed from bingo to volleyball, yoga and more. Kayaks, stand-up paddle whenever you want. The scuba diving course was fantastic and our instructor was great. All the staff were super friendly and nice. Bar staff very helpful, offered great recommendations. Marine life was great - we saw stingrays, small sharks, a turtle. Food as fabulous!! Delicious everywhere, and the booking system was fine too. Riu app was very useful.

The staff are the best, all very kind and friendly! They are always aware so when you need something they already have it, super helpful all the time! The room was very good, good space, very clean but they don't have any amenities in the room (I think you can ask them, but I didn't need). The hotel has a phone app that helps a lot, it has all the information. The food is very good, a lot of options every day and you can get a drink easily during the day. They also have a lot of activities that you can take for free and all the infrastructure is very good.

Angsana Velavaru ligger ved stranden på øen Velavaru (Skildpaddeøen) og har 3 restauranter, vandvillaer og egne pools. Stedet ligger 45 minutter med vandflyver fra Malé Internationale Lufthavn. The resort feels freshly renovated, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. The island itself is quite large, offering many restaurant options, plenty of activities, and a great sense of space and privacy. We came mainly for surfing, and our instructor Kayle was beyond amazing. In just three days, I was confidently standing on the board and riding waves. He is extremely professional, has incredible energy, and creates such a positive atmosphere. You can’t help but feel his genuine love for surfing and the ocean — it truly transforms the whole experience. Surf trips with him were an absolute highlight. Our butler Albina was also exceptional — incredibly sweet, attentive, and always quick to arrange anything we needed. She truly cares about guests and has a natural sensibility for hospitality. You feel understood and well taken care of. Overall, Niyama exceeded our expectations, and we left with only beautiful memories. Can not wait to come back.

The themed nights, repeating weekly, added variety and ensured that we never felt like eating the same thing twice in a week. We want to give special thanks to Terow and Laila, who consistently provided outstanding service with such attention and kindness. Mamun and Rohit went the extra mile for us, even preparing special meals tailored to our wishes, which made our stay feel truly unique. Meeting Azee, who has been dedicated to the hotel for 26 years, was inspiring – his passion and commitment are remarkable.
