Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities. Large living room with separate bedroom. There was a well equipped, small kitchenette. A large, very clean bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. There were several facilities for fishermen. It was very pleasant to sit on the deck and watch the birds. It was a short walk to the river. There were laundry facilities on site. We loved the place.

The room was beautiful, the view was stunning, and every detail had been carefully thought out. Everything was spotless and well stocked, from the candles and champagne to the bathtub amenities, plush bedding and quality soaps. The heated towel racks were a lovely extra touch. The hosts were responsive and made sure everything was seamless. I can’t wait to come back.

Gorgeous views! A beautifully well kept and cared for property. There was even a golf green to practice pitches. My arm got more of a workout throwing fetch toys for the dogs than it’s had in a while. Much fun by and loads of love from the dogs. We were sustained almost until dinner with the full and fabulous breakfast.

Situated beside the town center of Taupo and opposite a park, eMotel offers contemporary, boutique accommodation with lake views from each room. Guests enjoy free unlimited WiFi. The place was much bigger than expected and spacious. Great for us travellers with large luggages. Clean apartment with a good variety and quality of amenities provided. Check in was seamless - Michelle even let us drop our bags when we reached way before the check in time, and let us check in early so we could get to explore the rest of the town. Love the way the door is locked - so fuss free!! Facilities were good, there’s washing machine, induction stove with pots and pans, kitchenware and complimentary Nespresso capsules and coffee and tea. I also love their hot chocolate!!! (bloom) ☕️ Love that there is a backyard area which we can sun/dry off our clothes with the drying rack in the room. There’s also hair dryer, sufficient hangers, iron and ironing board and TV with YouTube connection. Parking space was very sufficient, great porch and quite near the beach (walking distance to the hot water beach and also to shops, restaurants and supermarkets) Overall great experience and would highly recommend this place to couples and families looking to stay in Taupo. Spacious rooms, great equipped and tv's that work so well. The pool and smaller hotpool are nice and warm. Everyone is quiet and respectfull and kind. The woman at the front desk was very hospitable. Would recommend!

Waimahana was a wonderful and comfortable stay, particularly the bed. We were there to attend my daughter's football tournament week. It was located close to Crown Park, which was very convenient. We loved our time there and even extended for one more night. Our host was excellent and accommodating, even when we requested a late check-out. She was most accommodating, which was appreciated, given that I had recently undergone surgery and rushing to check out was a bit challenging for me at the time. Thank you, so, so much for a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back again!

This accommodation was very spacious with everything we needed for a small family. The kids loved the cinema room. having our own garage space downstairs was amazing making it easy to come and go as we please. The central location makes it easy to walk around Taupo with access to everything we needed, very close to the lake (5mins) and shops. Everything was very comfortable and clean.
