Tambo del Inka, a luxury establishment located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, is the only hotel in Urubamba that has a private train station with connections to Machu Picchu. The property has a swimming pool and spa. This was our second time to go to this hotel. I like so much the rooms, the huge common spaces and the wellness. The coffee machine in the room is a real extra. We traveld to Machu Picchu with the train (from the hotel’s train station) - it’s very comfy.

They include heating system and feature a private balcony or terrace, offering views of the valley. Room service is available. We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel and it was one of the best hotels we had in our 14 day trip in Peru. The hotel is not located in the centre of Urubamba which we loved as it is set in a quite location near the river and had amazing mountain views all around. Rooms are vey spacious with beautiful décor, comfortable beds with views of the garden and mountains. Food during breakfast and dinner was really good and there's many options to choose from. All employees were very nice and helpful.

The hotel structure, facilities and breakfast buffet were outstanding. Room superbly clean with great view.
Beautiful location by the fast flowering river in the Center of the sacred valley. The hotel is set around and ancient hacienda with multiple courtyards, terraces and a museum and cinema. The gardens are perfection, the pool, lakes and island chapel all lovely. The spa is world class and the chef worthy of international recognition. And the staff……. In our experience Peruvians are the warmest and most welcoming of people and it seemed that the best of those traits were in abundance here.
The service manager together with the serving staff team is great. I received a lot of help during my 4 night stay there. Especially for visitors who don’t speak the language, it takes a bit to understand and work things out. Location is 5 stars in my opinion - easy navigation (few mins walk to reach the Main Street Ave de Sol there s everything you need.
Clean and spacious rooms. The hotel is hidden away from the busy road which makes it very quiet. At breakfast they make you fresh eggs. Choice is plenty. For a budget hotel this was 5 stars
We booked two rooms for a family of four. Our kids room had a super cute balcony and was large and spacious with a great view. The showers in both rooms were superb and there was lots of hot water. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. There was a lot of fresh food on offer as well as delicious cake. The young chef was very friendly and cooked great eggs. It was one of the best breakfasts we had in Peru. We were able to leave our luggage so we could go to the hot springs after we had checked out. Staff were very helpful.
An amazing oasis in the heart of the sacred valley. The rooms were comfy and classy - and ours had an outstanding view
It was so nice to retreat to this lovely hotel after a long day of sightseeing. The location has exceptional views and tranquility, but is just a short walk to the main plaza. The staff was very helpful. The chef packed us breakfast/lunch boxes to take on our early excursions. The restaurant dinner and breakfast were top quality. The rooms were beautiful. The parking was free. We have nothing but positive things to say about the hotel. We liked it so much that we booked another night after our trip to Machupicchu.
