Tambo del Inka, a luxury establishment located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, is the only hotel in Urubamba that has a private train station with connections to Machu Picchu. This was our second time to go to this hotel. I like so much the rooms, the huge common spaces and the wellness. The coffee machine in the room is a real extra. We traveld to Machu Picchu with the train (from the hotel’s train station) - it’s very comfy.

Aranwa is set on a sumptuous 17th century hacienda on the road to Machu Pichu. Luxurious facilities include a swimming pool, a spa featuring alternative medicine treatments and a museum. Such a beautiful property. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is lovely - serene and calm and the perfect place to stay for Sacred Valley. The gardens are very peaceful and quiet Our room was great - large and really well appointed and very relaxing. The breakfast was fantastic - lots of choice and the Spa was fantastic. The gym is also excellent. The team were all very good but a special mention to Andres, Luis, Wally and Diana who took great care of us and delivered exceptional personalised service. I had a treatment at the Spa with Yesica who was also fantastic .

Part of Tierra Viva Hotels Chain, this property is located in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, 60 km from the centre of Cusco and only 11 km from Ollantaytambo, the starting point to explore... I loved the place! The service was super kind, beautiful view, easy to find, great breakfast, good shower and bed. I highly recommend!!

The property was clean and secluded, with private “tents” that included a hot tub. They had everything we needed for our stay - including baby alpacas! The service was amazing. Roger and the staff were extremely accommodating and attentive to guests’ needs. They offered flexible dining and activities. The food was delicious! Overall, we’d highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Urabamba or visiting Machu Picchu.

Explora in the Sacred Valley of the Incas was designed as a headquarter from where to explore a remote and great destination: Cusco, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Beautiful property and great staff. We didn’t like much the food choices except at breakfast.

Located 6 km from Nogalpampa Stadium in Urubamba, Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba welcomes guests with a restaurant and bar. We had a very relaxing stay- we had planned for one night, but extended it to two nights as we enjoyed the property so much The rooms/cabins are very large/ Nice bathrooms and beds with patios We ate all of our meals there and enjoyed all of them (I am vegetarian and liked all of my options/ my husband who is not vegetarian also equally enjoyed the meals) They have a few activities each day, we enjoyed a short hike and learned about the local community, plants and birds In the afternoon, they have a nice tea time with small snacks- For planning- it takes 1.5 hours from the airport/ plan a ride in advance- it is about $50 for a couple from Cusco The local area has a few popular tourist places to visit though we did not take advantage of these as we just enjoyed staying there The Sacred Valley was an adjustment in altitude for us (we are from Nebraska) and it was nice to acclimate there, before staying in Cusco and ultimately hiking the Salkantay trail.
