Rooms are individually decorated with antique furniture. Each is equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The marble bathrooms come with bathtubs or showers. Some rooms feature a balcony. Beautiful breakfast buffet. We also had dinner at the convent and it was very good with a wonderful wine from the area. The property itself is jaw-droppingly beautiful, with many original features from the 12th C. It is very beautiful.

Guest rooms at Convento do Espinheiro are luxuriously furnished, free wifi and coffee machine. Each en suite bathroom offers a bathrobe, slippers and free bathroom amenities. Some rooms have a private terrace. Wonderful compound - a historical monastery where the original spirit and details are nicely maintained and incorporated. Most impressive was the Church that was still there and active, incorporated in the domain. One of the most beautiful Churches we saw on our trip in Portugal. Nice outside pool area and a little spa and inside pool.

The staff was wonderful and we loved the pool and parking. It was very easy to drive to the town of Monzaras, which was wonderful. If I return to this part of Portugal in the future, I will definitely stay at Horta da Moura.

It's perfect for families, especially if you have pets and want to stay a mile or two outside of the city. We had a very comfortable two bedroom with several patios. The pool is heated and provides a perfect space to spend an afternoon. Our dog, Maddi, was welcomed and able to go everywhere, which is such a rarity for hotels in Portugal. Breakfast was consistently delicious during our stay. My husband had the pork cheeks for dinner via room service and was very impressed! Thank you to the owners for creating such a lovely space for us to stay.
