Atlantida Mar is a contemporary hotel featuring designer guestrooms with panoramic views. It is located on Terceira Island, with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean Promenade, and offers an outdoor swimming pool. I loved everything about this place! The staff were ALL very friendly (and a special shout out to the lovely Mafalda who gave suggestions on what to see, answered our questions about the Portuguese language and culture, and delivered friendly smiles like warm sunshine every day without fail!) The rooms are well appointed & clean (extremely important to us!), the breakfast had a good selection each day (yes, the same foods each day, but you could select something new each day for a week without eating the same thing twice), the location is perfect (so close to beaches and a short 5-10 minute walk into town), the view is wonderful, and I miss sitting on the balcony each morning with my cappuccino enjoying the sea view and breeze with the sounds of doves cooing. The bed was comfy and the shower was great. I will definitely be back!

The room was very large and had a powerful shower. Everyone was new as the hotel was only been open for a year. We had a problem with our flight - it was delayed by 6 hours until after 3am, so Tony (the hotel owner), kindly picked us up (as the taxi ranks were closed). The hotel staff had excellent communication when discussing our delayed flight problem through the booking.com website.

Looks exactly like the pictures. It’s a new place, it’s clean, beautiful, well maintained. All the staff without exception were so friendly and nice to us. Breakfast was great as well. It’s about 20 minutes walk from a main area of restaurants and bars (walkable at night), great view over mount brazil and the ocean. We loved seeing the sunset from the pool while reading a book. The place also has a big private parking lot for free. We didn’t wanted to leave
