Set in Cao Bằng, Muong Thanh Luxury Cao Bang features a bar. With free WiFi, this 5-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a concierge service. The hotel offers an indoor pool, fitness centre, entertainment staff and room service. The hotel has the general 4* standard, and as backpackers we didn't feel uncomfortable. Overall we were satisfied. The room is spacious, the carpet is pleasantly soft, the bed is sufficiently hard (although this is obviously a matter of taste). The central air conditioning works very efficiently, daily cleaning, coffee, tea, kettle in the room. In clear weather, the view from the 17th floor is beautiful. The buffet breakfast has a wide selection: 6-8 types of hot main dishes (steamed pumpkin and carrots, pork and chicken, vegetable rice, noodles, dumplings), 2 types of soup, bread, toast, baguette, butter, hard cheese, two types of ham, pâté, sausage, boiled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, yogurt, pastries, fruit, tea, coffee, soft drinks and in addition, a kitchen with a chef to fulfill other wishes. The ingredients are of good quality and everything is delicious, but it is worth going earlier, because what runs out, they don't refill. The price of the accommodation was automatically deducted from the card, which is also a great thing and rare in Vietnam. I heartily recommend this hotel, and we will choose it again.

The kindness and warmth of the homestay's grandmother chay and hien will be remembered for a long time. Children swimming in the river. Cows and goats. Chickens and chicks playing freely. There are caves and waterfalls nearby, and I go for healing in a place where both nature and people are beautiful.

Location is great, right in the centre of town. 5 star hotel for less than £50 per night. Rooms are big and clean. Staff are really helpful. Arranging a motorcycle for me and giving me information of places to visit on my way to and from the waterfalls. Can’t fault the hotel In any way

The hosts were most superb I ever met in Vietnam. Regardless language barrier, amazingly lots of resource and information I could garner to arrange itinerary smoothly. The lady owner even lent me her jacket for me to withstand the sudden coldness when weather turned to winter within a day. The double bed room had the basics for all I needed to stay comfortably. The location is just 5 min walk away from main waiting point if public bus is considered for trip to Ban Gioc waterfall. Cao Bang is an alluring odyssey for gems in northern Vietnam.

AMAZING. Obviously you can find much cheaper options in this town, but I thought I'd splash out! What a place! 5 star hotel for under £50?! The pool, the views, location! Why wouldn't you?!

It is a perfect place to stay if you would like to be close to the waterfall and to the cave. We loved it, the dinner was superb, both the room and the whole accommodation is magical thanks to the mountains and caves in the area. A highly recommended place to stay! However, in case you are looking for something really quiet, it is good to know, that they organized music nights such as karaoke in the evenings during our stay, so it can be noisy in the evenings.

The location so close to the waterfall is exceptional. Contrary to many reviews the Hotel is clean and well maintained. The rooms and bathroom are large, with balcony and a partial view of the waterfall. The evening meal was OK and not expensive. A very comfortable bed, firm and with a luxurious topper. The staff had basic English and were very friendly. This place compares very favourably with most other places we stayed in. Maybe the name Resort makes people expect too much .. We had a very pleasant stay!
