A brand new hotel (briefly known as Golden Imperial, now Golden Sun), still doesn't have a gym nor pool, but apparently those are coming, but in any case I didn't need those. I splurged on a corner Premier Suite, and while I knew there'd be a balcony, I didn't expect four of them! And four vases of fresh flowers, including many roses, a very nice touch. Beautiful huge bathtub. Excellent buffet breakfast, and you can enjoy it outside in the generally perfect weather. Speaking of weather, I turned off the A/C as soon as I checked in, and didn't use it for the whole week; the breeze through the patio doors was a perfect temperature, even at night. And the air is clean in this part of town, beside the lake. Location is better than I thought. Yes, it's a bit of walk into the heart of town, but there's a plaza with underground mall across the street, with festival activities above (hot air balloons during my stay), and restaurants and shopping down below. Valet parking is a nice touch. For my bicycle (hah) they didn't even need a ticket or room number. In the mornings I just asked for "the bicycle". :) Tip: balconies on the top floor (5) are smaller than the lower floors, big enough to stand but not suitable for furniture. My request for a higher floor (granted) foiled my desire to spend time on the balcony. No big deal since I could open the doors and bring the fresh air inside.
