A Riverbed Guesthouse in Swellendam has 4-star accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and barbecue facilities. The property is set less than 1 km from top restaurants, shops and Drostdy Museum. The grounds and room were beautiful. I'm sorry that it was cold when we visited as the pool looked so inviting. Melani made restaurant suggestions, brought us making for a delicious breakfast and saved the day when she secured a safe , last minute transport to our next destination that had been inadvertantly canceled at the last minute. She and her husband were very gracious and put us at ease. We highly recommend a Riverbed guesthouse.

Everything was incredible about this property from the minute we stepped into the main door I was swept away and in awe. The official pictures don’t do it justice and we were so pleasantly surprised by the beauty. It was the best place we’ve stayed so far in our SA trip, and even after coming from some places that we would have thought to be hard to beat. The view is jaw dropping, it’s so peaceful, and all of the staff especially the owner is so generous and kind!!! Truly amazing and feel so lucky to have come across this wonder! Wish we could have stayed longer. Best sunsets too. We had the private guest cottage which gave really nice privacy, spotlessly clean, nice amenities and super comfortable. Just book it, you will have no regrets. If it could be 11/10 it would be

We stayed here as a group ahead of a wedding. We all felt very safe and secure. Alan and the staff provided a very homely feel and were super attentive and couldn’t do more for us. Beautiful location. Clean rooms and very good facilities well equipped with everything we needed.
