Motels in Port Hope

Quaint motel just outside of Port Hope in the Hamlet of Welcome.. The property is well maintained and tidy. The room was clean, well-appointed, and clean. I enjoy staying at motels such as this. As a motorcycle rider, I can park my bike directly in front of my room. The owner was friendly and helpful. The bath tub had no stopper, but he provided one quickly. He rightfully explained it is like this as people used to steal them.

I agree with all the reviews. Room was clean and updated. We worry that cheaper motels have drug users sometimes and this one did not. It was very quiet!

wasn't expecting much, owners very nice, to your service. The room was very clean # 115, better than some high priced hotel in the GTA. i would not hesitate to come back again. Looks like a motel, you park your car in front of the room, so really easy to unload the luggage !!! i left Toronto to get back to Quebec city. i felt like driving a bit so i would have less road the next day. almost 2 hour drive from Toronto, that was a wonderful pit stop.

This hotel was much. much better than I would have expected from a typical roadside motel. If you have any motel concerns ie cleanliness, comfort etc you need not worry here. I was completely impressed and will use it as my layover when travelling to Toronto from now on. To the owners - Great job!!

More than expected from a motel..Exceptionally clean.You know you are in an upscale motel when the place has pot lights !

Raj and Mina run a tight ship here. Hard work by both of them have turned a seedy motel into a very pleasant, comfortable and clean one. And ......pride of ownership is obvious, both in the rooms and the exterior. We(a senior couple) have stayed in many many motels enroute to B.C from Ontario and then back again. I can honestly say that The Budget Inn ranks as one of the best. Highly recommended!!

location great, easy to find. Breakfast with family, not at motel.

Staff were very friendly. The room was very clean. There has been extensive maintenance and upkeep. The motel is out in the country about 2 km off the main highway so it is quiet but not near any other stores or restaurants.
