Only an 18-min walk to the main town Centre, and right across the road from the beach. Generous sized-rooms with full kitchen facilities, and good shower pressure. Met Brad on arrival, who was very welcoming & friendly. Kindly upgraded us to an upstairs room (203), gave us some milk, and provided us with beach towels & a shovel for Hot Water Beach the next morning. Only a wee walking distance to shops and beach (within 10 minutes unless you want Woolworth/Warehouse then drive 5 mins). Great space in rooms, clean and tidy. Gives a classic Kiwi motel vibe :) Friendly and helpful owner who is just a phone call away. Rooms were clean, cooking facilities were more than adequate.
