Motels in Berkeley

I got a great discount I wasn't expecting. Yay! The staff is wonderful. My priority is cleanliness, which is a 10. The bed was comfortable. The location is ideal for me and there is free parking.

This old motel is renovated and adequate for travelers on a budget. Nice location and comfy beds. I have stayed here three times in the past. I'd do it again.

Clean motel and very helpful staff

Wonderful host! She personally called our room to make sure the accommodations met our needs. I don’t recall any motel or hotel ever showing that level of care towards guests. The building is older because everything in Berkeley is older BUT the furnishings, the bathroom, the bed, the outlets for all the digital gadgets people have, are all modern and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit. A bonus is the walking distance to local eateries and the North Berkeley BART station. No car needed to get over to San Fran.

I feel very safe staying at the Marina Inn. They have a private parking lot in front of the motel with an entranceway for the cars to come in so it’s cut off from University Avenue. Also, there’s a very good Mexican restaurant right down from the motel on the corner of University and Eighth Street. It is a very short walk and I find the area safe for a single woman. The location is great to get on the freeway or go up to Berkeley. And the staff is wonderful and very accommodating.
